The educational design of the fawn and black Tracks mat is ideal for helping students of all ages to learn more about their own and other cultures while they learn or play
It’s a practical introduction to Indigenous symbolism in art and opens us up to the world of storytelling through pictures. Australian Aboriginal artist De Greer Yindimincarlie, of the Wiradjuri Nation in central New South Wales, designed this mat using a variety of different Aboriginal figures. They tell the story of traditional community life and if you look closely you will see symbols for campsites, warriors, women and kangaroo tracks.
Tracks is hard-wearing and easy to clean – wipe away dirt and dust, or hose it off and dry it in the shade. Like all our outdoor mats, it is made from recycled plastics.
It is light enough to carry or fold up for transport or storage and being reversible, you get two colour choices for display. Choose black one day, fawn the next, whatever suits your decor and mood. This is not only fun but will also extend the life of your mat - it's like having 2 mats for the price of 1!
If using outside regularly, perhaps consider our eyelet options for easy tie-down or even one in the middle for your umbrella.
We're now exploring how we can 're-recycle' your unwanted mats! Our exciting initiative for re-purposing and re-using them is a must-read.
